Electric scooter flash mob in Taipei sets new Guinness World Record!

They’ve done it again, and this time they went big! Gogoro’s electric smartscooter riders community in Taipei decided to organize a meeting early morning October 7, and the result is a new Guinness World Record for the biggest parade of electric scooters ever.

The organizers used social media to promote this silent flash mob parade, and they’ve managed to gather in one place 1303 Gogoro electric scooter riders, beating they’re own record set last year with a little over 500 scooters.

Gogoro-brand smart scooters from around Taiwan gathered at a park in New Taipei’s Sanchong District at 3am, and not even the rain seemed to be a problem as they headed down the bridge across the Tamsui River. They then proceeded down Minquan West Road and Minquan East Road in Taipei, in a silent parade that showcased the benefits of electric scooters in the urban mobility and the fight against pollution.

Just in Taiwan, Gogoro has reached 100 thousand riders, and they’ve got their sights set in conquering Southeast Asia in the near future.
