BMW S 1000 RR delivers stellar results in British Superbike Championship
BMW Motorrad once again provides sterling performances in the British Superbike Championship with their BMW S 1000 RR.

BMW S 1000 RR: British Superbike Championship (Superbike Class)
The 2019 British Superbike Championship (BSB) took place over the Easter weekend at Silverstone. In the Superbike class, teams Tyco BMW Motorrad and Smiths Racing rolled out the new BMW S 1000 RR for the first time. During the first race on Sunday, Tyco BMW Motorrad’s Christian Iddon capped his run at 11th place. He was the highest placed BMW rider in the race. This was followed by Peter Hickman of Smiths Racing, coming at 14th. Keith Farmer of Tyco BMW Motorrad then came in at 15th. In race two, Farmer came in at 12th place while Hickman finished at 14th again. Iddon ended his run at 17th place. “All in all it’s been a positive weekend on the new Tyco BMW S1000RR,” Farmer says as quoted from Newsletter UK. “We had a little knock on Saturday which knocked my confidence a little, but to come back to 15th from 26th on the grid following a six grid penalty shows we have good race pace with good tyre life. In race two I started a little further up the grid but a few errors on my part saw me run off track a few times which is frustrating, but I made my way up to 12th and to be in the 54s (lap times) throughout the whole race proved really positive,” he adds. “The bike feels great and I’m looking forward to moving on to Oulton Park and seeing more progress.” The next round of the championship will commence on the May Bank Holiday weekend at Oulton Park from May 4-6.

BMW S 1000 RR: British Superbike Championship (Superstock Class)
In the Superstock class, the BMW riders managed to secure several podium finishes and ultimately a win. On Saturday, the marathon race was split into two parts. Bathams Racing’s Taylor Mackenzie came in at second place whereas Alex Olsen of Team IMR crossed the line at third place. In the second part, both Mackenzie and Olsen finished in second and third place once again. On Sunday, Olsen delivered stellar results was he won the race whereas Mackenzie trailed behind to secure second place.
