Malaysia’s motorsport darling Leona Chin provides her bubbly personality as a new voice option for Waze!

Heads up, you can now get Malaysian motorsport athlete Leona Chin to guide you through your journey on Waze! In conjunction with the 2019 United Nations (UN) Safety Road Week, Malaysia’s very own motorsport sweetheart, Leona Chin, will be providing her bright personality as a new voice option to guide Malaysians more safely and efficiently while on the road. In case you did not know, Waze also caters to motorcyclists too! According to Waze, Leona’s navigation voice is rather cheerful and delightful. This is set to help drivers and riders navigate in a good mood, especially during peak hours and stagnant traffic. Not to mention, she also advocates road safety tips such as reminding drivers to wear their seatbelt and watch their speed.  “When it comes to motorsports, I think everyone believes it is all about speed, but the truth is, as motorsport athletes, we value safety above all else. Even before we hit the track, we have to prepare ourselves including always having the necessary safety gear. And when we are racing on the track, we have to constantly remain alert of other drivers. I’m very glad to be a part of this opportunity. I believe in the importance of safety reminders and tips to all road users. I want all Malaysian drivers to remember never to take road safety for granted!”, says Leona Chin as quoted from Waze Company.
