Mistakes make who we are today and that is without a doubt. We are so caught up with being perfect that we forgot that being perfect means we have to embrace the imperfections that we have. FingersCrossed Moto has come a long way from its small community garage in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. For founders Matt, Matt and Joseph, their bikes journey began with one incorrectly ordered swingarm.

According to Pipeburn, the swingarm is a from a fifth-generation Honda VFR800. The issue here was pairing the mounting point to the rear of the frame.  “We decided to custom fab the entire rear half of the frame,” says Matt. The team modelled the design in CAD then stress-tested using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Fingers crossed, the shape of the new frame was starting to come along well bit by bit, brewing up a good result.

“The basic idea was to make this 99-00 CB750 Nighthawk look as close to a lofty OEM concept as possible.” The team at FingersCrossed Moto then started to piece the bike- named Tuna”– with great details and additions. This includes assembling a new subframe, new seat, side covers, headlight mount, and an elegant chainguard. All the new parts are custom-made.

The team continued to finesse the front ends of the Tuna with All Balls Racing bearings. They also wrapped the front and rear in Avon Trailmaster rubber.  “Giving it a little extra boost is a custom set of Murray’s Carbs, 4 into 2 Mikunis” Matt adds. The bike has a steady output, powered by the 750. It lets all that power out through a Mac exhaust and custom muffler.

Furthermore, the team topped off the design with a full LED lighting system and signals by Morimoto. They then perfected it with a shade of Honda Desert Silver on the tank. Now, this is a perfect masterpiece.
