Marvin Musquin and the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team made their return to the RedBud MX for the second time this weekend to complete part two of an unprecedented doubleheader. This would be the halfway point of the nine-round 2020 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Musquin came in fourth overall, missing out on a podium with a pair consistent 3-4 finishes. The Frenchman continues to hold second overall in the highly-contested 450MX Championship as the series heads into a welcome week off.

Musquin set the tone for the day with a pole position through the fastest qualifying time aboard the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION. He had a rough start in Moto1 but managed to gather momentum to finish on the podium in third. In Moto2, he started from third place and aimed to repeat his podium triumph. However, a little setback from Joey Savatgy caused Musquin to remount and he finished his run in fourth place.

“The first moto was quite good, I was pretty happy about those moves and I was able to get third, it was great. The second moto was a little rougher. Once again, I felt pretty good and I was right there trying to charge but I stayed there and got a fourth-place overall. It’s a bummer because I want to be on the podium and I want to make up points but I didn’t. I did some great things out there but we need more.”
