“Motorists with expired road tax must, however, ensure that the insurance for their vehicles is valid. They must display their insurance e-cover note for authorities to check.”

These apply to the  Competent Driving Licences (CDL), Motor Vehicle Licences (LKM or road tax), Goods Driving Licence (GDL) and the Public Service Vehicle (PSV) licence.

In addition to that, Dr Wee also state that victims of floods in Yan, Kedah, whose JPJ documents had been destroyed will be given a replacement free of charge. However, they must first lodge a police report and bring it together to the JPJ counter for verification. Replacement fees for driving licences are RM20, road tax for cars at RM50 and motorcycles at RM20.
