Spectators now allowed to attend MotoGP pre-season tests in Sepang

With the new season coming up, spectators can now tune in to the pre-season tests live at the Sepang International Circuit.

The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) in a statement has announced that the public is allowed to attend to watch the MotoGP pre-season test which will take place from 5 to 6 February.

More interestingly, admission is free, and spectators can watch the MotoGP team’s preparations up close at the Main Grandstand.

However, in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set by the government, only individuals with complete vaccinations are allowed to enter the SIC to witness the pre-season testing take place.

“This is the first international motorsport event in Malaysia since the pandemic with riders and teams moving under the Motorsport Travel Bubble.

“This is a good start for the 2022 calendar and marks a joint effort to revive the sports industry in Malaysia. We want to thank the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the National Security Council (MKN) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and the Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) for their support,” explained SIC Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Azhan Shafriman Hanif.
