Ducati has just released the fourth part of its 2023 World Première series, “This is Racing” and the anticipation of many, it has unveiled the all new 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 R.

Ducati has been enjoying a stellar season with the existing Panigale V4 R machine in WorldSBK by currently leading the championship by a large margin. Adding on to that, the Borgo Panigale factory is already planning for the 2023 season.

Alvaro Bautista has been easily overtaking other rivals in the WorldSBK championship, which has become the new norm this season. However, that is not enough to make Ducati satisfied with the current performance of the Panigale V4 R.

This Ducati Panigale V4 R 2023 is said to be able to produce 218hp at 15,500rpm.

With the combination of a new ‘racing’ exhaust and new oil developed by Shell, this 2023 model is able to reach 240.5hp.

The maximum rev of this 2023 machine has also been set at 16,500rpm in 6th gear as well as guaranteeing a higher ‘top speed’ than before.

The sudden increase in power is also contributed by the ‘connecting rod titanium’ and piston coated with DLC (diamond-like carbon coating). This is the first time the feature has been introduced on a road bike.

Ducati also retuned the geometry of the piston and succeeded in lowering the inertial force while reducing the weight of the piston by 5 grams.

Other upgrades introduced include two new riding mode packages, namely ‘Full’ and ‘Low’ modes. The ‘Full’ mode is mainly for those who want to enjoy the real performance of the Panigale V4 R. On the other hand, the ‘Low’ mode lowers the power to 160hp for riding in urban areas.

Ducati also reworked the quickshifter system so that gear changes are smoother at partial and full throttle.

Like the previous model, the 2023 Panigale V4 R is still loyal to the Ohlins components, but the NPX25/30 pressure fork in front now offers 5mm more travel.

The swingarm pivot has also been raised by 20mm and the tank is now 17L just like the Ducati Panigale V4 S. All Ducati Panigale V4 R 2023 models now come with a serial number written on the steering head.
