IATC Qatar – Young talents show their potential in the desert

At the Losail track, the race weekend was more than big bikes from the Grand Prix World Championship – click here to see the full race results from MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3. In the desert of Qatar, the youngest talents also showed their potential in two enthralling races of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup.

The wins went to Haruki Noguchi in race 1, and in race 2 it was the Australian rookie Bill van Eerde that crossed the finish line first.

For those that don’t know what the Asia Talent Cup is, it’s basically a road race championship for the youngest Asian and Australian riders, a project supported by Dorna to find new talents around the World, in this case riders coming from Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia and Turkey.

The competition sees Asia’s stars of the future participate in a ten race championship held over five rounds throughout the year, with all of the riders on homogenised Honda NSF250R Moto3 bikes.
