Benelli RFS 150i Limited Edition arrives to shake up the supercub segment

Italian manufacturer but Chinese owned Benelli has just released the new RFS 150i Limited Edition, a supercub that promises to shake up the 150 cc segment with better performances and superior quality.

Powered by a single-cylinder SOHC engine, with 149,8 cc, this sporty underbone moped will accelerate fast and use the full potential of the 15,5 hp this engine can deliver at 8500 rpm. Using a three spark plug system, Benelli says this engine will make the RFS 150i Limited Edition behave better under extreme riding conditions, and at the same time reducing fuel consumption.

Limited to 135 km/h, the RFS 150i Limited Edition features a six-speed gearbox, and the frame is a straddle type frame, which not only makes the bike slimmer, but also boosts its agility when riding in a sporty manner.

Also important to notice that Benelli opted to upgrade both suspension units: at the front the RFS uses a 41 mm upside-down fork that offers a travel of 88 mm, while at the back the monoshock gives a travel of just 27 mm, and both units are made by suspension specialists Kayaba (KYB).

With a weight of just 126 kg, the new RFS 150i Limited Edition should be a really beauty to ride around town, and a good ally to escape traffic with great style due to its race inspired graphics.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
