Royal Enfield to launch new special edition Classic 350 bike

In case you did not know, one of South Asia’s biggest motorcycle brand Royal Enfield will be introducing something special on August 28, 2018. The Indian firm has yet to reveal much information regarding the bike but it is speculated that it will be launching a special edition Classic 350 tomorrow.

Inspired by the Indian armed forces, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Special Edition is expected to be similar to the Classci 500 Pegasus Edition, that was recently revealed to celebrate its association with the British armed forces during World War II. It is likely that the new model will be getting military hues such as brown and blue and would carry stenciled serial number on the fuel tank, much like the Pegasus. It will also be expected to have the Indian Army Corps emblem too.

There has been news that the special edition bike would come equipped with ABS. Albeit not confirmed, this seems to be the case until its revelation. It will also continue to use the same 346cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that is capable of producing 19bhp at 5250 pm and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It will also be mated to a 5-speed transmission.

It also comes along with a 35 mm telescopic forks up front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Braking performance comes from 280 mm single disc at the front, while the rear is likely to come with the 240 mm disc.
