Review of Luca – The red Vespa and the meaningful message of friendship

With lovely storytelling, playful images filled with colours, Luca takes viewers on a journey to discover the world of two little friends, winning the red Vespa they both dreamed of.

Quick Summary of Luca

The film revolves around the titular character Luca Paguro – a young sea monster living in the city of Portorosso, Italy. Like other sea monsters, Luca was forbidden to go ashore by his parents for fear of human pursuit. 

By chance one day, he met Alberto Scorfano – another young sea monster who lived alone on the shore for a long time. Alberto revealed that when on land, the sea monster looks exactly like a normal human. Eager to learn new things, Luca and Alberto set out to explore the terrestrial world. The first goal of both is to participate in a running competition to win a Vespa.

After a series of tough challenges, with the help of her new friend Giulia Marcovaldo. Both won the contest and revealed the existence of sea monsters on earth. Not only not being chased and chased by humans. Because of their good qualities, Luca and Alberto also became a bridge to help bring the two species closer together.
